Tiktok: Top 10 reasons why "Tiktok" should be banned
1) Cliché Videos
One of the most annoying thing about Tiktok is that its most of the contents are cliché videos which means many videos are similar which makes a person to view similar video many times resulting in his/her time getting wasted. And to get quick fame people follow big characters of Tiktok and make cliché videos and sometimes even those famous characters make cliché videos to get more followers. So, Tiktok is getting itself as a time wasting tool for the users.
2) Jilted lovers scene
One famous example for this point is the famous character of Tiktok, Faizal Siddhiqui, who showed that he threw acid on the face of a girl just because she rejected his proposal. We know that he did it using water and girl used makeup but what message that video sends to our community is the main concern and as far as we can get in that video is just violence and a mad idea about how to react on rejection. And many new generation who are in learning stage are also using Tiktok so this content is very bad for them as they will learn such act and this will increase threats in our society.
3) Animal violence
Dogs are known for their loyalty but some crazy users of Tiktok are abusing their pets and torturing them for their Tiktok video to get famous but thats not the way to get fame thats the worst thing someone could do to get fame. I mean how can a person be so mean to use violence as a way to be famous. And such people are getting really many views which means the video is reaching to many people and this will led to make people think that we can get famous by abusing their pets which is a kind of wrong mentality. So, this should be stopped.
4) Vulgar contents
This is another major drawback of Tiktok app that it doesn't has any child filter by which it will filter the contents and avoid such contents that are unusual for kids. And people are often making such contents where they mix up others video and create some vulgar contents and without any warning these contents are getting views which is creating a possibility that such videos are probable to be seen by kids which is not a good things. So, tiktok should remove such contents.
5) Studying students are wasting their time
Many students who are in their learning and growing stage are also influenced by Tiktok and to get fame they give less priority to study and more priority to Tiktok which is making them mentally weak. Education is very important for anyone and this app is consuming large part of students schedule for making perfect videos. So, it is just wasting the time of students.
6) Accidents commited or stunts promotion
Many people in Tiktok make videos in which they perform many stunts and the more risky the stunt is the more viral the video goes but just to get viral they perform very risky stunts and when it goes wrong they even die which is a worse thing. So, tiktok should not let such contents to be promoted so that people would not perform such risky acts.
7) Using others content
Many users in Tiktok are getting million of views by posting small clips of famous youtube channels without giving any credit to the youtube channels. And this is not good act as it promotes people to use others content for ownself. People who create their own contents are not enlisted in this list because they are doing great job. But those who do wrong things are more viral so this platform is not suitable.
8) Promotes some society threatening acts
As mentioned already that it doesnot have any kids filter or any type of filter so any user in Tiktok can access any type of video content of tiktok and some of the contents promote different bad acts of our society. Like some show different evil acts practiced in the society which in other side promotes it.
9) It is a Chinese product
Tiktok is a Chinese app its origin is from China also the app is concerned with some privacy issues which are still not clarified. The app is blamed to collect different kinds of data about the users without their knowing and permission which if is true then they may be giving those datas to Chinese government which they will use for their own benefits. Also china is always trying to be ahead in case of AI so it wants all the datas of human being's choice which this app is blamed to collect.
10) Changes mentality of New generation
Tiktok contains many videos where there is shown about different issues of marriage, jokes about marriage, fake relationship, domestic violence and many more which modern generation may be unknown but due to this they will also know about them and instead of increasing awareness this app only spreads those videos which many people like and this way it fails to do good work for the society.
However this article doesn't promotes any kind of discrimination between tiktok and youtube because tiktok also has good features and uses. Some users are also using it in right way but as it has more drawbacks then merits it makes it useless. Tiktok has nothing wrong with it but it should remove those users who are promoting violence or anything like from the list above then tiktok would be a great platform for awareness but if people just waste their time in tiktok then it is useless.
